The Victory Lounge
V FOR VICTORY
Winston Churchill popularized the hand sign we now call the “peace sign” — but in his day it was “V for Victory,” a wartime symbol of resistance and solidarity. Hence the name of this room.
We took our cue from vintage train cars: dark wood paneling, warm greens and beiges instead of the navy blues you find on most yachts — right for Churchill and a fireside drink on a cloudy night. And yes, this was once a working fireplace.
Look for the vintage diving helmet tucked into the lounge — a piece whose full story we're still chasing.
